24 January 2013.

We rend a car and friend of mine was driving that car. We were only have limited budget and just spent for Rp 150,000 at least (10 or 15 dollars).

I realise that I've not deliver my experience to Bromo in this blog. Just a year ago, I posted the photos in my Instagram. Now, I have a chance to tell you about my journey through words and photos.

Bromo is an active volcano in Probolinggo region, East Java. It is a part of Bromo, Tengger and Semeru area. Bromo derived from the God of Hindu, called Brahma, who role as creator and also called as the God of Fire. People that live around Bromo are mostly Tenggerese who still holding on their belief in ancient days of Majapahit which is closely to Hindu. Before heading to Bromo Caldera, we will find a temple called Pura Luhur Poten. Every year, Tenggerese have a ceremony and is called Yadnya Kasada (Kasodo). Through this ceremony, people in Tengger believe that if they give offering or sacrifice goods, it will make them avoid with dangerous thing because Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa (Greatest Lord) will protect them.

We were parking our car and continue our journey by Jeep. It because the road headed to Bromo and other object was very rocky and really hard if we use car. The first place we visited was Penanjakan. Here we can see sunrise and Mount Semeru. For God Shake! It was really awesome. And it always been really awesome. Check this out.
